What happens in a first session
90 minutes, on video, one-on-one with a licensed psychologist. You don’t need to prepare anything and you don’t need to commit to having further sessions unless you want to.
What you need on the day
- A private place where you can speak without being overheard
- A phone or laptop with a camera, and a stable internet connection
- The link, which arrives by email when you book and again on the day
You don’t need to install anything or create an account. The link opens in a browser.
What you’ll be asked
What brought you to therapy, what has been happening recently, and any relevant history. You can say if you’re not ready to talk about something.
You don’t have to arrive with an explanation ready, or know what exactly you’re feeling.
By the end of the session
You and the psychologist will usually have discussed:
- what you would like help with
- whether this kind of support is right for you
- what you might focus on if you continue
- whether an assessment or a different service would suit you better
You may also decide this isn’t the right service for you. If so, the psychologist can tell you what kind of support may suit you better.
Common concerns
If you go blank, you don’t need to fill the silence or find the right words. The psychologist can ask questions and give you time.
If you cry or can’t finish a sentence, you don’t need to apologise or explain it.
If you don’t want to come back. Then you don’t. You are not required to book a set number of sessions.
If you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancel at least 24 hours before your session for a full refund. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or miss your session without letting us know, you may be charged the full session fee.
What you say stays between you and your psychologist. The limits are the ones the law and the profession set, and the psychologist goes through them with you at the start. They’re written down in the terms and in the FAQs.
Book a first session
A first session is ₱2,500, and every session after it is 50 minutes at ₱2,000.
